Students in Mrs. Rance's Family and Consumer Sciences classes competed in Cupcake Wars this week. Students worked in their groups to develop a theme, flavor profile for both cupcakes and frosting and created their display out of pizza boxes donated by Dominos and recycled cardboard. After two weeks of preparation, students in grades 8-12 created a total of 22 displays and baked/decorated approximately 132 cupcakes.
Students presented their Halloween/Fall themes to judges and the junior high/high school student body Friday after the theater performance. Judges marked students based on display appearance, cupcake appearance, most creative theme, and taste. The judges were impressed with the student work and students gave positive remarks while walking through the displays.
