More engineering fun with the Garver and 4th and 5th grade.

Meadow Alumni, Christian Herrera, came home to talk about civil engineering with the 4th and 5th graders. He is currently an engineer with Garver. He and colleagues Jimma Benton, Samantha Lee, and Joshua Curtsinger presented on the many aspects of civil engineering. The students were then divided into groups and were presented with the challenge of constructing a bridge using gum drops and toothpicks. Each bridge was then weighted with marbles until collapse to see how sturdy each structure was. The students were up to the challenge and built bridges that could bear a lot of weight. Great job, Broncos! And thank you to Christian, Jimma, Samantha, and Joshua for bringing a great experiential learning activity to Meadow!

Congratulations to these young men!! Go Broncos!!

Graduation is just around the corner!!

Congratulations to Addison Garcia for being recognized as a DAR Good Citizen in the Francis Rainey Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. We are so proud of your dedication and hard work in all you do!

Meadow High School will host the 5-1A District Literary Meet on Wednesday, March 26th. This will require a calendar change. We will return to school from Spring Break on Monday, March 24th. We will not have school on the day of the UIL meet. Although it is unusual to have the day off in the middle of the week, the STAAR testing calendar required us to change the date of the UIL meet. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact the superintendent's office or your campus principal's office if you have questions. Thank you.
